Start With The Specific Product
Open the product’s size guide before ordering. Its measurements, construction details and available size options take priority over the reference tables below.
A size label is a starting point. Compare your body measurements with the chart for the exact garment, then consider its shape and your preferred fit.
This guide explains how to read measurements, compare inches and centimetres, and ask the right questions before choosing your Chikan Label Luxe outfit.

READ THE CHART CORRECTLY
Your actual bust or chest, waist and hip circumference. Record it without adding extra room.
The finished clothing measurement. Confirm whether the chart shows a complete circumference or a flat width.
The difference between body and garment measurements. It influences how close, relaxed or flowing the outfit feels.
Use a flexible tape, stand naturally and record all measurements in the same unit. Measure over the undergarments you expect to wear with the outfit.
Replace this space with your approved measurement diagram in the theme editor.
Pass the tape around the fullest part and keep it level across your back. It should touch comfortably rather than compress the body.
Measure around your natural waist while breathing normally. For trousers or palazzos, also check where their waistband is designed to sit.
Measure around the fullest part of your hips with your feet comfortably together. Keep the tape horizontal.
Compare these with a garment you enjoy wearing. Ask how the product’s length was measured before comparing numbers taken from different starting points.
REFERENCE FRAMEWORK · INCHES & CENTIMETRES
These are finished-garment circumferences from the supplied reference guide, not body measurements or a promise that every Luxe design follows this block.

Check the product-specific chart first. A size appearing here does not confirm its availability in a collection. Shoulder, sleeve, armhole and length measurements depend on the individual style.
The reference uses approximately 2 inches of bust ease for a closer fit and 4 inches for a relaxed fit. Treat these as examples, not automatic rules for every fabric or silhouette.
For a 36-inch body bust, a 38-inch garment bust provides 2 inches of ease. In the reference table, that is M. Check the waist, hips and sleeves too.
For the same 36-inch body bust, a 40-inch garment bust provides 4 inches of ease. In this reference, that is L. Your preferred drape still matters.
Choose a similar garment, fasten any closures and lay it flat without stretching. This is particularly useful when you already know the amount of room you like.
Image picker for a flat-garment measurement photograph or annotated diagram.
A kurta measuring 20 inches across at the underarm is approximately 40 inches around at that line. Compare like with like; do not compare 20 inches directly with a body-bust circumference.
Check the same garment position and starting point used by the product chart. Shaped panels, pleats and elastic sections need their own measurement instructions.
Record shoulder, upper-arm room, sleeve and length where relevant. A matching bust measurement alone does not confirm every part of the fit.
LET THE SILHOUETTE GUIDE YOU
Check the upper body, shoulder and length. A straight silhouette also needs suitable hip room; an Anarkali’s flare does not compensate for a tight bodice.
Assess both pieces. Confirm waist, hips, rise and length, plus whether the waistband is fixed, elasticated or adjustable. Matching size labels do not replace those checks.
For sarees, check fabric length and blouse-piece details. Unstitched fabric needs tailoring. For men’s kurtas, use the product’s chest, shoulder, sleeve and length information rather than this womenswear reference chart.
FOR INTERNATIONAL SHOPPERS
This orientation table follows the supplied reference’s relaxed-fit example: garment bust minus 4 inches. It is not a universal conversion or a separate Luxe sizing standard.

Choose using actual measurements, not an overseas label alone. Using a different amount of ease changes the comparison. If uncertain, send your product link and measurements to client care.
Check whether the listing supplies a kurta, complete set, dupatta, lining or blouse piece. Review each relevant component.
Read the fabric and lining details. Ask about stretch or transparency if these affect your choice; photographs alone cannot confirm how a piece will feel.
Send the product link, size under consideration and the measurement you need confirmed. For a special occasion, mention your preferred coverage and length.
Check the outfit carefully when it arrives. Review the exchange conditions before removing tags or making alterations. Custom-made items have separate eligibility conditions.
PERSONAL SIZING ASSISTANCE
Share the product link, bust or chest, waist and hip measurements, and whether you prefer a closer or relaxed silhouette. Mention the units and any specific sleeve or length concern.
SIZE & FIT QUESTIONS
No matching question. Try another word or contact customer assistance.
The reference tables show finished-garment measurements. Measure your body separately and allow for the fit intended by the specific product.
No. Use the chart on the exact product page. The reference framework does not confirm a style’s measurements or available sizes.
Compare the garment with your body and a similar outfit you like. The examples show 2 and 4 inches of bust ease; confirm suitability for your particular garment.
No. Record your actual body measurements first. Consider additional room only when comparing them with finished-garment measurements.
Do not choose on the bust label alone. Ask client care to check the relevant points against the garment’s cut, especially for straight or fitted styles.
It is a width measured across a garment laid flat. A 20-inch underarm width is approximately 40 inches around that line. Confirm the chart’s method.
Use the men’s product measurements instead, including chest, shoulder, sleeve and length. Do not transfer the womenswear size labels directly.
Not necessarily. Check the bottom’s waistband, hips, rise and length. Ask about adjustable or elasticated waistbands where relevant.
Review the fitted upper body, shoulder, sleeve and garment length. The amount of flare does not establish bodice fit.
No. The table is an approximate illustration based on 4 inches of ease. Use actual measurements and the product-specific chart to make your decision.
Multiply inches by 2.54. Divide centimetres by 2.54 to convert back. The reference table rounds centimetres, so small display differences are normal.
Contact client care with the product link and the measurements you need. Avoid estimating a garment’s measurements from a model photograph.
Ask before ordering whether a custom option is offered for that design. Availability and specifications need confirmation; review the custom-made exchange exclusion before proceeding.
Contact the team before altering it. Review the exchange policy and avoid changes that could affect eligibility while your request is assessed.
Send the product link, your measurements and units, preferred fit, usual size as context, and any specific concern about length, shoulder, sleeves or the bottoms.
